First Generation

  1. Elija Potts was born in Graves County 1831.

He married Elizabeth Vicus in Graves County, 12-07-1852. (Elizabeth Vicus #206.) Elizabeth was born in Graves County 1835.

Elija Potts and Elizabeth Vicus had the following children:
2 i. Mary E. Potts was born 8-10-1853.
3 ii. Ezekiel Potts was born 1857.

5 iv. Clinton Potts was born 1861.


Second Generation

  1. William Frank Potts
    (from Bible of Mirtie Potts Stinson via Deltha Clapp) was born in Arkansas 05-20-1858. William died 08-05-1924 at 66 years of age. buried at Price Cemetary. (Price Cemetary is located just a few miles from Mayfield in Graves County, about a 15 minute drive from Mayfield)... George and Dona Clark lived down a dirt road from the Cemetary.... (from Deltha Clapp)

    Lucy Mitchum Potts

Lucy Mitchum
APP 1882. Lucy was born 12-18-1862. She was the daughter of ? Mitchum. Lucy died 10-14-1918 at 55 years of age. buried at Price Cemetary.

William Frank Potts and Lucy Mitchum had the following children:

6 i. William E. Potts was born 8 1890. William died 07-18-1918.
+ 7 ii. Dona A. Potts was born September 27, 1888.
+ 8 iii. Tinnie Augusta Potts was born 7-23-1890.
+ 9 iv. Mirtie Ann Potts was born 07-29-1897.


Third Generation


  1. Dona Ader Potts
    (William Frank2 , Elija1 was born September 27, 1888. Dona died May 20, 1954 at 65 years of age.

She married
George William Clark
APP 1905. (George William Clark #9.) George was born May 10, 1886. He was the son of G. William Clark and Elizabeth Ann Burgess. He married Earlie Cope after 1954. They were later divorced. George died May 8, 1974 at 87 years of age.

Dona A. Potts and George William Clark had the following children:

+ 10 i. Bertha Clark was born December 14, 1906.
11 ii. Clara May Clarkwas born August 3, 1908. She married ? Burd.
12 iii. Edgar Clark was born August 3, 1911. Edgar died September 19, 1950 at 39 years of age. He married Elsie.
13 iv. Myrtle Clark was born August 30, 1915. She married Maynard Whitmere.
14 v. Noble Ray Clark was born October 7, 1920. Noble died April 26, 1977 at 56 years of age. He married Helen ?.
15 vi. Nola Mae Clark #24 was born October 7, 1920. Nola died July 19, 1991 at 70 years of age.
+ 16 vii. Denzel Eugene Clark was born January 28, 1923. Gene died July 25, 1990 at 67 years of age.
17 viii. Darlene Clark was born April 1, 1925. Darlene died February 18, 1970 at 44 years of age. She married John Blackburn.

  1. Tinnie Augusta Potts
    (William Frank2 , Elija1 ) was born 7-23-1890. Tinnie died 08-10-1950 in Graves County, at 60 years of age. Buried August 12, 1950 at Mt. Olive Cemetary.

  1. Mirtie Ann Potts
    (William Frank2 , Elija1 ) was born in Graves County 07-29-1897. Mirtie died 09-25-1969 at 72 years of age. buried Sept. 17, 1969 at Mt. Olive Cemetary

Clarence Erwin Stimson
. (Clarence Erwin Stimson #104.)

Mirtie Ann Potts and Clarence Erwin Stimson had the following children:

20 i. Donald Euwin4 Stimson. Donald died 1987.
21 ii. Deltha Stimson #105 was born 05-01-1920. She married Estel Clapp. Estel died 1988. Deltha has been very kind in giving me much of the information on the Potts line. She used to visit her Aunt Dona Clark and says "I remember they had a house with two bedrooms, a long hall and a kitchen. A bedroom served as a living room; two beds in each room. Aunt Dona had a long table with a bench one side next to the wall and I always wanted to sit on the bench. The older children were already in Dixon. We would get Undle George's wagon and go for a hayride, Ray and Gene would talk me into asking him."

1967.

Bertha Clark and Walter Mason had the following child:

  1. Denzel Eugene Clark
    (Dona A.3 Potts, William Frank2 , Elija1 ) was born January 28, 1923. Denzel died July 25, 1990 at 67 years of age.

He married
Barbara Eleanor Cozad
1944. Barbara was born in Galesburg, IL December 10, 1924. She is the daughter of George Alvin Cozad and Barbara Meldrum.

Denzel Eugene Clark and Barbara Eleanor Cozad had the following children:

23 i. Barbara Gene Clark was born 9 1947. She married twice. She married Ken Miller. She married Randy Allman.
24 ii. Robert R. Clark #13 was born 1944. He married twice. He married Susan ?. He married Kay ?.
25 iii. Eddie Clark #16 was born 1951. Eddie died 1952.
26 iv. Dorothy Louise Clark Elliott was born November 23, 1954. She married Scott Kevin Elliott July 8, 1985. Scott was born September 12, 1954. He is the son of George Francis Elliott and Eleanor Lillian Lana Elmhorst.
27 v. Lorie Luanne Clark was born 1961. Lorie died 11 - 1977.
